ABOUT
North East-rooted artist Eve Simpson crafts prog pop-folk with soaring vocals, classic vibrato, and unfiltered songwriting. For fans of Kate Bush, Portishead, Fiona Apple, and Tori Amos, her music is deeply intimate, boldly expansive, and surprisingly wild.
Eve’s career began 10 years ago, releasing her first EP with early collaborators Graeme Duffin (Wet Wet Wet), a run of singles produced out of community centres in her home town of South Shields, and a Youth-Music funded EP.
Over more than a decade of live performance, Eve has progressed from early collaborations with Kathryn Tickell to headlining UK tours and performing at events including Celtic Connections, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, and London Fashion Week.
In 2024, she signed with Extra Mile Music, beginning a 4-month long international writing tour across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. This led to rekindling professional collaborations with Beth Nielsen Chapman, as well as introducing new ones, notably Oscar-winning writer Don Black. This life-changing experience formed Eve’s view that songwriting should be shared, creating UK-wide Songwriters’ Rounds, inviting audiences into a world that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
Eve re-launched her artist project in September 2026, after two years of intensive artist development, at the Darlington Hippodrome Theatre as part of the Last Train Home Festival. Her new debut release is imminent, working with producer Ben de Vries (David Gray), and building something beyond the music: The Wildflower Project, a fan-backed horticulture accompaniment to the single.
Her music is the result of a decade spent growing, gathering, and finally finding the space to bloom.
